New catalogue concept facilitates the search for spare parts

Corteco issues its new catalogue just in time for the EquipAuto in Paris (15th to 20th October 2007). It has been expanded by more than 300 references, compared to last year’s issue. Among them are new spare parts for vehicles from over 17 manufacturers such as Ford, BMW, VW/Audi and Opel. Furthermore, the catalogue contains more than 40 new pulleys, which means that Corteco continues to offer the broadest range within Europe. The new catalogue is sorted by vehicle types. The customer thereby finds all the engine and chassis application details for the respective vehicle model he is looking for. The illustrations of all referenced articles, as well as information regarding their positioning within the vehicle, assist mechanics with the installation. Corteco is represented at the EquipAuto with a booth (booth number 6K 36).

Vibration Technology in Original Quality

Corteco is the specialist for the independent aftermarket within the Freudenberg Group and offers all automotive spare parts in original quality. Corteco’s product range in the area of vibration technology comprises more than 27,500 vehicle applications. The new catalogue provides garages and the wholesale trade with a quick overview of original spare parts for individual vehicle models. The following products are listed:

• Engine/transmission mounts (in hydraulic and solid version)
• Decoupled crankshaft pulleys and torsional vibration dampers
• Chassis bushings (in hydraulic and solid version)
• Suspension strut mounts
• Drive shaft mounts
• Centre support bearings etc.

Among the new vehicle applications listed in the catalogue is, for example, the switchable hydro mount, which adjusts automatically to the engine speed, thereby achieving improved damping of engine vibrations, resulting in a very effective further reduction of strain on the engine. This innovative solution was designed specifically for diesel vehicles.

More than 50 pulley making Europe's largest range

Corteco’s decoupled pulley is also listed in the new catalogue. It likewise prevents strain on the engine and is mainly used in connection with diesel engines. In this design the pulley, with its elastomer-metal composite, decouples the belt drive from the crankshaft. This reduces the strain on neighbouring components and extends the lifetime of belt and pulley. Corteco continues to offer the broadest range within Europe, a total of more than 50 pulleys. The catalogue, which is sorted by manufacturers, is divided into two parts, from the letters A to N and O to Z. It is available from mid October.
